Textile and Fabric Art Exhibit previewing the Footsteps in History Quilt.
Exhibit includes pieces by The Giving Guild Quilt Club, Slater Mill Historic Site, The Sisterhood of Sewing, Rhode Island Spinners Guild, Thimble Pleasures Quilting Guild

The Footsteps in History Quilt is a product of the Blackstone Valley Interpreters Network members.

Each year we offer a $500 scholarship to an elibible local high school student who is pursuing study of visual arts and/or design. Applications are due April 15, 2012. Please see our Scholarship page for more information and to download an application.

Happy New Year!
We had a great 2011 and we're looking forward to a wonderful 2012. We've got our Guild Quilt Show coming up in March, and we've got lots of fun programs and speakers lined up for the new year. We have openings for new members and we'd love to have you join us. We welcome quilters and sewists of all ages and abilities. Please come to a meeting and get to know us!

2012 Meeting Preview
In addition to our usual fun meeting activities such as secret valentines, bingo, auctions, and dinners, we've got some excellent speakers lined up for 2012.- January 19 - Pat Harrison from Ocean Waves Quilting Company will lecture on "Quilt As Desired"
- April 19 - Cathy Ruggiero from Candlelite Quilts speaks about "Color vs. Value"
- May 17 - Fran Marcoux will present "Doll Talk"
- August 16 - Sue Weeks will talk about "Crazy Quilting and Embellishing"
- September 20 - Terri Sontra from Purple Moose Designs will give us "A History of the Sewing Machine"
- October 18 - Jessica Leger will present "A Quilted Garment Fashion Show"
